Asana (posture) practice can be a moving meditation, but how do you translate that into a seated meditation practice? Learn meditation techniques that make the most of the years invested on the mat by incorporating dristi (gaze), bandha (energetics), and breath awareness into sitting practice. Pranayama (breathing practices) have often been described as the bridge between posture and meditation. Blending the three together are power tools for the modern yogi interested in self-realization and inner-peace. This 90 minute practice includes a lecture, three 15 minute sits in meditation, and short intermissions of gentle sun salutations and pranayama.
